April 7th 1804 CJOn Wednesday last at Stubb in Kirklinton, Mr Andrew Atkinson, public house keeper, aged 80.On Wednesday last, at Rockliff, Sarah Hewitt, aged 88. April 14th 1804 CJLately, at Longtown, Mrs Mary Graham, much respected, many years at the Globe Inn. May 12th 1804 CJLately at Kirklinton, at an advanced age, Mary Hetherington, who gained a livelihood by carrying butter and eggs to our market, which during half a century, she regularly attended twice a week, and performed all her numerous journeys on foot, which amounted in the whole to nearly one hundred thousand miles! July 28th 1804 CJAt Grainbrough in the parish of Kirklinton, on Tuesday last, Mr David Hetherington, aged 62. August 4th 1804 CJOn Friday 27th ult in this city, Mrs Beaty, aged 79, relict of the late Rev Wm Beaty, rector of Kirklinton. September 15th 1804 CJOn Tuesday at Lake in the parish of Kirklinton, Mrs Mary Tinning, wife of Mr John Tinning, grocer, Carlisle, aged 2-. September 22nd 1804 CJA few days ago at Joestown in Kirklinton, Isaac Bowes, aged 79.A few days ago at Buss in the parish of Arthuret, Mr W Ferguson, much respected. September 29th 1804 CJOn Tuesday evening in English Street, Carlisle, where she had been on a visit to a friend, Margaret Glendinning of Gretna, aged 72. Within the last twelvemonth, the deceased had two brothers died whose ages added to hers amounted to 233 years, and her father continued "a sojourner in this vale of tears" upwards of 100 years. December 22nd 1804 CJLately at Dubwath in the prime of life, Mr George Graham, lately of Garrestown.February 2nd 1805CJOn Monday last, much respected, Mr Thomas Heslop of Rosetrees, near Longtown, aged 64.February 16th 1805CJOn Monday at Newtown of Irthington aged 75, Mrs Glendinning (relict of the late Mr Wm Glendinning of the same place) much respected.On Sunday last in Longtown aged 80, Mr John Wilson, many years butler at Netherby.February 23rd 1805CJOn the 14th inst at Brigham near Cockermouth, in the prime of life, greatly lamented, Mrs Wilson, wife of John Wilson Esq. of that place, and eldest daughter of the late Rev. Dr James of Arthuret.On Tuesday last at Quintence Hill near Gretna, John Graham aged 84.March 2nd 1805CJOn the 18th ult at Holmfoot in the parish of Kirklinton, after a long and painful illness which he supported with truly Christian resignation, Mr Robert Latimer, in his 21st year. The untimely death of this young gentleman will be long regretted by his friends, to whom he was endeared by his amiable manners and affable disposition. Bowes, aged 55. He had held a situation in the customs at the above place for near 40 years. He was interred at Loweswater yesterday, which was the place of his nativity. He was the oldest survivor of the family of Skelton of Loweswater, Walton, Branthwaite Hall and Armathwaite Castle.January 25th 1806CJOn the 14th inst, Mr Andrew Routledge, aged 86, a respectable land-owner at Stub, in the parish of Bewcastle. A few months since, an account was received of the death of his eldest son, John Routledge, an officer in the artillery, who fell in the East Indies in the service of his country.March 15th 1806CJLately at Trough in the parish of Stapleton, Mrs Isabella Mason aged 91 years.April 19th 1806CJLately at Longtown, Mrs Moodie, mother of Mr Moodie of the same place.September 6th 1806CJOn Monday last at Abbey Holm, Mr George Forster, stone cutter, late of Longtown, aged 57.December 20th 1806CJThe 2nd inst aged 69, Mr David Blacklock of Smalmstown, Kirkandrews upon Esk.Lately at Kirkandrews upon Esk, much respected, Mrs Scrymsour, aged 78, relict of the late Mr Scrymsour, of that place.On the 11th inst at Bailiffstown in the parish of Arthuret, after a lingering and painful disorder, which she bore with true Christian fortitude, Mrs Jane Wilson, aged 24 years, wife of Mr David Wilson of that place.December 27th 1806CJOn Wednesday 17th inst, Mr Thomas Graham, a pious youth, aged ?, eldest son of Mr James Graham of Phillipstown, parish of Kirkandrews on Esk.January 9th 1807CJOn the 1st inst at Black Dub, Mr John Bell, at the very advanced age of 101, greatly respected.
