The deceased was one of the Society of Friends.November 11th 1843CPAt Liverpool on the 6th inst after a long and painful illness, Hannah, wife of Mr E--- Duxberry, a native of Greymoorhill in this county, aged 49 years, much respected. At Bogs near Westlinton, on the 7th inst, George, son of Mr James Graham, late of the Dandie Dinmont Inn, Blackford, aged 22 years.At Hethersgill on the 7th inst, Deborah, the daughter of Mrs Margaret Mitchinson, aged 9 years. At Longtown Moor on the 1st inst, Mrs Frances Beaty, widow of the late Thomas Beaty, farmer aged 87.January 13th 1844CPAt Lawshall in the parish of Arthuret, on the 1st inst, Elizabeth, daughter of Mr Robert Kirkpatrick, farmer, aged 22 years. On the 8th inst, Mrs Jane Beaty, wife of Mr George Beaty, aged 30 years. At Frankstown, in the parish of Kirkandrews on Esk, on Friday 5th inst, Mrs Mary Graham, aged 38 years, wife of Mr Thomas Graham, farmer of the above place.April 20th 1844CPAt Longtown on Saturday 13th inst, Mr William Porthouse, hairdresser, aged 51 years. Same day, Ann, the infant daughter of Catherine Little, aged 9 months. And on the 17th, William, son of Elizabeth Little, aged 10 months.April 20th 1844CPAt Millees Browhead, on the 16th inst Peter, son of Mr Peter Collison, farmer, aged 4 years. The deceased was allowed £10 a year by Mr Thomas Baxter, late of Parcelstown, who he served for upwards of 50 years, as a servant in husbandry. The deceased was in receipt of a pension from the Dacre family of Kirklinton Hall, he having served as land agent to the family for a number of years.August 2nd 1844CPAt Longtown on the 29th ult, Jane Ann, the infant daughter of Mr Murray, aged 12 months. At Mossband, in the parish of Kirkandrews, on the 26th ult, aged 51 years, Agnes, wife of Mr William Bell, husbandman to Mr Gibbons.August 23rd 1844CPAt Path, in the parish of Arthuret on Sunday 18th inst, Mrs Elizabeth Little, aged 100 years. She was born at the village of Riddings, Arthuret parish, and was upwards of one year old when Prince Charles Edward Stuart, the ?Pretender?, with part of his rebel army, stopped all night at Riddings, on his march south by way of Carlisle, in the year 1745. She was, throughout life, much respected by all who knew her.September 6th 1844CPAt Redgate Head in the township of Nichol Forest on the 30th ult, after a protracted illness which he bore with exemplary patience and fortitude, Mr Arthur Lawson, aged 90 years, much and deservedly respected.September 13th 1844CPAt Longtown on Saturday the 7th, awful sudden, by a fall from a tree, David, son of Mr James Wright, weaver, aged 9 years. At Longtown on the 6th inst, John, the infant son of Margaret Kirkup, aged 7 months, and on the 11th, aged 76 years, Mr John Forster, blacksmith, and father of Mr Forster, horse dealer.September 20th 1844CPOn the 12th inst at Bellsfield, Carwhinlaw, parish of Arthuret, Mr John Irving, bleacher, aged 66 years. The deceased belonged to the Society of Friends, and was much respected. At Slealands, in the parish of Arthuret, on the 16th inst, aged 83 years, Margaret Murray, spinster. At Blackhamilton in the parish of Kirklinton, on the 17th inst, aged 29 years, Mrs Jane Graham, wife of Mr George Graham, yeoman, late of Rigg. At Longtown on Monday 16th inst, very suddenly, Francis O?Brien, of Dumfries, cattle driver, aged 60 years. At Redcleugh in the parish of Kirkandrews on Esk on Sunday 10th inst. Mrs Mary Plenderleath, wife of Mr Robert Plenderleath, farmer, aged 84 years, much respected. At Longtown on Sunday the 10th inst after a lingering illness, which he bore with Christian fortitude, Mr James Bell, jun, stone mason, aged 30. And on the 12th, very suddenly, Mrs Jane Brown, widow of the late Mr Andrew Brown, aged 84, much respected. At Heatheryfauld in the township of Nicholforest, on the 1st inst, Mr William Ferguson, aged 78 years.November 22nd 1844CPAt the Longtown Union workhouse on the 18th inst, Mr William Beaty, aged 24 years. At Longtown on the 11th inst, Jane Gray, aged 6 years, daughter of Mr George Gray. The deceased child was dumb from its birth until within a few days of its death, when she could speak distinctly and ask for any thing that she might want, and name all those around her. At Maggiesmire in the parish of Kirklinton on the 13th inst, Mr Joseph Ridley, aged 83.December 13th 1844CPAt Newtown of Rockliff in the parish of Kirklinton on the 1st inst, Robert, the infant son of Mr Robert Moffat, farmer, aged 10 months, and on the 5th, Margaret his daughter, aged 2 and a half years. At Barwise Gate on the 10th inst, Miss Mary Graham aged 83 years, sister of the late Mr Robert Graham, steward to Sir James Graham of Netherby.December 27th 1844CPAt Longtown on the 21st inst, Robert, son of Mr Robert Sommervale, tailor, aged 17 years, much respected by all who knew him.
